Regarding the First Week of Two Teams in the Playoffs

blewout

This is a strip for this weekend's Southtown. I don't usually concern myself with the Cubs, but I feel the need to comment on this rare occasion. Let's hope the Sox can blow up a series in Tampa today.

As my buddy said in a mass text message Wednesday..."Let the implosion begin!"

I'm glad the Whitesox are in the playoffs, but losing to the Rays won't kill me.

I can't wait to see how the Cubs fans react when they get knocked out in three games. LOL!

It's fitting & great! Holy cow that was aweful last night. Cub fans are flattened and speechless right now, I'd say less than 1% of hope left in many of them.

Eddie Vedder said it best in his song when he questioned if Ernie Banks meant 200 years. Well, here's to another century.

I am happy to have gotten Javy's last start in a Sox uniform out of the way (as painful as it was). I am excited about tonights game. The Rays made Richard look like a world beater mostly because he is left handed. Senor Buehrle should be unstopable!

You can't leave that many guys on base and win. Buehrle pitched a beaut. The bad are too cold...do you think Thome/Dye/Konerko/Griffey/AJ could still hit homers if they had warmers on their bats?

We need a slump-buster something terrible...

It's Friday night, and this cartoon that I drew 10 hours ago doesn't seem very topical anymore. The Sox and Cubs fans aren't too far apart right now, both down 0-2. And the weekend Southtown is probably going to press right now.

Hopefully the blackout will work for 2 more games.

Well Carl, we are 3-0 during elimination games at the Cell. Getting out of that dome and back home should be just what we need. Don't Stop Believin'!!!

That Sox still have a chance!!!
The cubs look totally broken right now!!!!
I will take my chances with Floyd Danks and Buehrle right now!!!
